We start your 3 days Ouarzazate desert tour with a pick-up from the airport or anywhere you are in Ouarzazate, then drive to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and location for Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones.
After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou village, you continue to the Dades Gorges via Ouarzazate along the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs,” arriving in the evening to spend the night.
Overnight: Hotel/riad in the Dades Gorges
You start the second day by leaving for the Todra Gorges, where you take a walk beneath the 300-metre-high cliffs. You then continue to Merzouga, where an experienced camel man and camels are waiting to carry you across the fabulous dunes, a ride of around half an hour to reach the camp.
You spend the night with locals under the stars.
Overnight: Desert camp, Merzouga
After breakfast in the camp, you start the last day with a camel trek back to Merzouga town, and from there begin the journey to Marrakech, with some stops on the way before arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
Fes route alternative: travel along the Ziz Valley to Midelt (lunch), the cedar forest of Azrou for Barbary apes, and Ifrane, before a drop-off in Fes.
