Start with a morning pick-up from your hotel/riad in Fes. You depart the city and head toward Ifrane for a brief stop and a cup of coffee, then continue to the cedar forest of Azrou in the Middle Atlas, where you have the chance to observe the Barbary monkeys.
You then drive to Merzouga via Midelt and along the Ziz Valley, full of palm trees. In the afternoon you arrive at Merzouga and enjoy your stay at a beautiful riad overlooking the golden sand dunes that surround the town.

Your day of exploration begins with breakfast in your riad. Your first stop is the small town of Khamlia, where you can listen to Gnawa music played by locals with roots in the south of Africa. Next you drive off-road to M’Fis, an abandoned village with Galena mines.
You also have the chance to learn about the nomadic lifestyle of a family living behind the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying tea in one of their traditional Berber tents. In the afternoon, an epic camel ride takes you across the high dunes to your desert camp, stopping for sandboarding and a stunning sunset. After dinner you relax around a campfire under the starry sky.

Today, waking early is highly recommended to catch a pretty sunrise, followed by breakfast at your desert camp. Next you set off on a road trip through Rissani, Erfoud, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorge, on your way to the Dades Gorge.
If today is a market day in Rissani (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you can visit a traditional Moroccan market with handicrafts, spices, and street food. You’ll have many other stops along the way. In the afternoon you arrive in the Dades Gorge, where your hotel awaits, with dinner and overnight there.

After breakfast, you get to explore the area, then drive along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the Atlas Studios. You then visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, used in Gladiator, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones.
After a tasty lunch, your journey continues to Marrakech while crossing the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages with many stops along the way. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
