Your tour begins right after your morning meal at your hotel or riad, then you journey toward the Moroccan desert. Your first pause is Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco. Continuing, you traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains, pausing amid the cedar forests to observe the Barbary macaques.
Lunch is arranged at a restaurant along the route. As you near Merzouga, a picturesque panorama of the Ziz Valley awaits. Merzouga greets you in the late afternoon, marking the start of a camel trek to a luxury camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to watch a breathtaking sunset. You then delight in an evening of rhythmic drumming, storytelling, and the amazing starry night sky.

An early morning is highly recommended to watch a peaceful sunrise. After breakfast, you can choose your return to Merzouga town: a camel trek or a 4×4 ride. You then set off toward Boumalne Dades, passing through Rissani, Erfoud, and the stunning Todgha Gorges. If it’s a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, you can explore a traditional market in Rissani.
You take a leisurely stroll along the Todra River beneath the imposing Todra Gorge in Tinghir. You reach Boumalne Dades in the afternoon and take a picturesque drive through the Dades Valley to a spot with breathtaking views of the “monkey fingers” rock formations before settling into your hotel.

After breakfast, you set off on a scenic drive to Ait Ben Haddou, passing through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate you have the option to explore Atlas Studios. Just 15 km from Ouarzazate lies the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, recognised for its appearance in Game of Thrones as Yunkai and in Gladiator.
After visiting the Kasbah and lunch, your journey continues to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), with breathtaking landscapes along the way. Your day concludes with your arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

We recommend comfortable clothes for warm days and cool nights, a warm jacket or fleece, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, comfortable walking shoes, a small backpack and reusable water bottle, and a power bank for charging devices.

The vehicles depend on your group size. We usually use a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser TX, a Ford 8-seater van, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus seating eight to seventeen passengers, among other comfortable options.
To confirm your reservation we ask for a small deposit, payable by PayPal, bank transfer, or Wise. The balance is due in cash on the first day of the tour, directly to your driver/guide, in euros, US dollars, or the equivalent in dirhams.
