Welcome to Morocco. Your itinerary begins with a warm reception at Mohammed V International Airport. Your first stop is the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, an architectural marvel with detailed tilework, marble carvings, and an ocean backdrop.

You then journey to Rabat, the capital, to explore the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Oudayas before being accompanied to your accommodation to relax.

Begin your day with breakfast before the journey to Chefchaouen, in the scenic Rif Mountains. The roughly four-hour drive reveals rolling hills, charming villages, and awe-inspiring views.

On arrival you check in and take leisure time to explore the maze-like streets in captivating shades of blue, navigating the alleys of the Medina, immersing yourself in the souks, or relaxing at a charming café.

Start with breakfast, then set off on a scenic drive through the Rif villages before reaching Volubilis, a former Roman city with well-preserved mosaics and grand public buildings dating back to the 3rd century.

You then continue to Meknes, a 17th-century former capital. After lunch, you venture into the Medina, home to the magnificent Bab el Mansour gate, and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, then continue to Fes.

Begin a full-day exploration of Fes with a local guide. You begin at the grand golden gate of the Royal Palace, then navigate the labyrinthine streets of the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unveiling landmarks like Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Chouara tanneries.

You explore the Jewish quarter, the Mellah, and finish at an ancient fortress with a panoramic vista of the whole city before returning to your riad.

Overnight: Riad in Fes

After breakfast, you set off on an authentic desert experience. Your first destination is Ifrane, then you traverse the Middle Atlas, pausing in a cedar forest to observe Barbary apes. A carefully selected restaurant awaits for lunch.

Your route leads along the captivating Ziz Valley, and in the afternoon you arrive at the Merzouga desert. You begin a camel caravan through the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, pausing for an awe-inspiring sunset. At twilight you reach a luxury camp, freshen up, enjoy dinner, and gather around the bonfire with drumming and Berber music.

Wake early to watch the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you choose a camel ride or a 4×4 to Merzouga town, then head to Khamlia, renowned for its Gnawa music.

Your exploration continues with an off-road trip to M’Fis, an abandoned Galena-mining village. You then meet a nomadic family near the dunes for tea in their Berber tents. After lunch, you relax at a beautiful riad and pool, and in the late afternoon you can add a quad biking adventure or stroll to the dunes for the sunset.

Indulge in breakfast at your riad, then begin the journey to the enchanting Dades Gorge. On the way, immerse yourself in the traditional market in Rissani (market days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday) amid lively colours, aromas, and sounds.

Continuing, you’re awed by the magnificent Todra Gorge. Heading toward the Dades Gorge, you witness the remarkable “monkey fingers” rock formations, and your scenic drive through the Dades Valley offers panoramic views before you arrive at your hotel.

You set your course for Ouarzazate, where you can visit Atlas Studios. You then venture to Ait Ben Haddou to explore its renowned Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site immortalised in Prince of Persia, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you traverse the majestic High Atlas Mountains and reach Marrakech in the late afternoon. You check into a charming riad in the heart of the Medina, then dine at your riad or on the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.

Overnight: Riad in Marrakech

Today you take a picturesque journey from Marrakech to the enchanting Essaouira, a lively fishing town cradled within 15th-century Portuguese fortifications, full of vibrant colours, captivating surf, and rich historical charm.

The UNESCO-listed Medina, with its blue doors and window frames, fronts a mesmerising beach. You can wander the Medina’s woodcarving workshops and artists’ shops, relishing this canvas of history, creativity, and seaside bliss.

Treasure your final moments in Essaouira by soaking in more of its sun-drenched beaches or meandering through the UNESCO-listed Medina and its bustling souks.

You then set out on the road to Casablanca, enjoying the changing landscapes during the roughly four-and-a-half-hour drive. On arrival you check into your comfortable hotel for the last night of your itinerary.
