TOUR Itinerary

Your itinerary begins with a warm welcome at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport or your hotel. You drive to visit the Hassan II Mosque, then travel to the imperial city of Rabat to explore its rich history and architecture, including the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Oudayas.

After lunch in Rabat, you continue to Chefchaouen, a breathtaking town nestled in the scenic Rif Mountains, where you can relax and savour the serene atmosphere.

Driving: approximately 374 km, ~6 hr · Overnight: Riad/hotel in Chefchaouen

Start with breakfast, then explore Chefchaouen, the Blue City, wandering the narrow streets and alleys of the Medina and the busy markets full of colourful items and tempting aromas. When you’re ready to relax, visit a cosy café or authentic restaurant for tagines and pastries.

After a delightful lunch, you take a scenic drive to Fes, where a beautiful riad awaits in the heart of the old town.

Driving: approximately 197 km, ~3 hr 38 min · Overnight: Riad in Fes

Today you set out on a full-day tour with a local guide to explore Fes, one of Morocco’s important cities and its cultural and religious centre. You begin at the golden gate to the Royal Palace, then get lost in the narrow streets of the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

While exploring you see Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Chouara tanneries. Next you visit the Jewish quarter, the Mellah, then head to an old fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina before returning to your riad.

Overnight: Riad in Fes

After breakfast you head south toward Merzouga, making a brief stop in Ifrane, then crossing the Middle Atlas and visiting a cedar forest to see Barbary apes. You have lunch en route, then drive along the enchanting Ziz Valley.

You reach the desert in the afternoon and begin your camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, pausing on a high dune for a breathtaking sunset. You reach a luxury camp and your private tent with its own bathroom, then enjoy dinner and a bonfire under the starry sky with drumming and Berber music.

Driving: approximately 500 km, ~7 hr 30 min · Overnight: Luxury desert camp, Merzouga

We highly recommend waking early to watch a bright sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast you return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, then head toward the magnificent Dades Gorge.

Along the way you explore the traditional market in Rissani (market days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday) and stroll through the breathtaking Todra Gorge. Continuing toward the Dades Gorge, you’ll be astonished by the “monkey fingers” rock formations before arriving at your hotel.

Driving: approximately 310 km, ~5 hr · Overnight: Hotel in the Dades Gorge

On the final leg you drive to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, where you can visit Atlas Studios. You then head to Ait Ben Haddou to explore its Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site seen in Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you travel through the High Atlas Mountains with stops for panoramic views, reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon and concluding your 6-day Morocco itinerary.
