Your tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel/riad. Leaving Marrakech, you head toward the Merzouga desert across the stunning High Atlas Mountains, pausing to take in the views.
You also stop in Ait Ben Haddou to see the famous Kasbah from a panoramic viewpoint. This fortified village has featured in many well-known films and shows such as Prince of Persia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. After lunch at a restaurant along the way, you continue to your final destination. Arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you check in to a lovely riad, have dinner, and spend the night.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes from your riad. After a satisfying breakfast, your desert adventure begins. A 4×4 SUV takes you to the Berber nomads who live beyond the dunes, where your guide shares their way of life. Along the way you can explore the hidden village of Mefis, soak up Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and glimpse the Lake of Birds if it’s in full view.
After lunch you return to your riad for some leisure time or a swim, then set off on an afternoon camel ride to the camp. As the sun dips below the dunes, enjoy the view and try sandboarding. As night falls, retreat to a luxury desert camp where a delicious dinner awaits, and take in the timeless magic of the desert at night.

After a delicious breakfast at your riad, you begin the journey back to Marrakech through the scenic Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest. A stop is scheduled in Agdez for a panoramic view of the valley and its lush palm trees.
You also stop in Ouarzazate for lunch, then travel back through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. This unique 3-day desert tour ends with a drop-off at your accommodation.

We use the Toyota Prado Land Cruiser TX, Ford Tourneo Custom, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus for groups of 8 or more, among other comfortable options, because travelling in comfort makes for a better experience.

To confirm your reservation we ask for a small deposit, payable by PayPal, bank transfer, or Wise. The balance is due in cash on the first day of the tour, directly to your driver/guide, in euros, US dollars, or the equivalent in dirhams.
